I know I can’t be the only one that feels like the weeks between Halloween and the new year move incredibly fast! With so much to do and everything moving so quickly, it’s easy to run low on energy. Everyone is busy traveling, celebrating holidays, working, and somehow finding time to take care of their health (hopefully!)
When time seems tight and energy is low, it’s important to prioritize our health and the food choices more than ever! These weeks during the holiday season can be extremely stressful, physically and emotionally, so our immune system might suffer. Not only does FIT help keep our energy level high, but easy smoothies like this LEAN Peppermint Patty Protein Shake keep you full while on-the-go! This combination is not only delicious but it keeps cravings at bay when you might be tempted to reach for a less-healthy option.
Ingredients:
- 1 Serving FITTEAM LEAN
- 1/2 c Greek yogurt (or Non-Dairy version of choice)
- 1/2 c Non-Dairy Milk
- 2 tsp Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 tsp Peppermint Extract
- 1/2 – 1 c Ice (depending on desired consistency)
- Optional (for texture and a little more nutrients): Either ½ Avocado (for a higher-fat, lower carb version) or ½ Banana (great for post-workout smoothies)
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth! Enjoy immediately!
